Buchen Posted December 23, 2014 Report Posted December 23, 2014 So I'm looking to put more than just a little bump in my 2011 Silverado 1500 Ext. Cab, problem is THERE ISN'T ANY SPACE. I currently have two tens under the rear seats I would like to put 12's but there just isn't enough room for cone excursion no matter what box and sub mix I look at or consider. The 10's give me a pretty decent bump sadly it just isn't enough for my bass addicted self. So I've done some thinking and measuring and it seems like there is enough space in the rear doors to fit another set of 10's. I would love to do this modification on my own yet I have no idea how to even start this project. So I'm looking for someone who could help me or that could do a quality job for me for some cash. If you have any recommendation's for someone in the Houston, Tx to the lower valley shoot me a pm please.

afrakes Posted December 25, 2014 Report Posted December 25, 2014 why not just ditch the rear seats? or just half of them? Agreed, do u really NEED seating for 5? Why not get a 60/40 bench split, just remove the 40 portion, and do literally a half wall with a huge vertical box? Or at least a box that stays under the window line, which would still be a huge space upgrade for you. Bet my left nut you could fit a nice single 15/pair 12s on a 3.5k of some sort. Or even bigger power if u chose the right box/sub combo. Vehicle: 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD WT Head Unit: Pioneer DEH- Mids/Highs: Focal Integration ISC 165’s (front) Subs/Amps: TBD
Cynicz Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 I fit 4 sundown x8 on a dc5k in the 40 section of my split seat in the same body's type truck as yours.i didn't even remove the 40 seat I just folded it up so if I ever did need the extra seating all I need to do is turn my amp off through the deck, disconnect speaker wires and throw tape around the positive lead, then throw the box in the bed and walah
Cynicz Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Can't edit on mobile but forgot to add that my box is 2 inches below window line with subs up port facing driver side
