Prosper506 Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 Hey everyone! Been saving for a while and have been planning a new system that I cannot wait to begin. Starting off I'm looking to go bigger than my current system, 1 rockford fosgate 15, and i'm about to begin looking for a new car for college, i've got my eyes on a tahoe 07-14 model, because i'm so tired of a cramped two door, even more tired of a manual haha. A picture on instagram Steve posted not too long ago introduced me to VM audio, i think their subs and amps look beautiful but after seeing how extremely cheap they are, i'm kind of worried on the quality side of things, if anyone has dealt with their Elux 15" or any of their amps, i would love to have an opinion on whether or not they're allright. Another option i have been looking at for a while is a DSS 18", those things are huge and extremely powerful, but with them being made in batches, and production is on hold for a while i may have to pursue other options. Really what i'm asking is everyone's opinions on what to get, i'd like to spend no more than a grand on 99% of this but i know things will keep adding on. multiple 15's or 18's is fine by me, i'll worry about planning the mids/highs/source unit later on. Also, I've got about 25 foot of 500 gauge wire(is this usable for amplifier power?), and about 3 sheets of 1/2" plexiglass that i would like to utilize in some way haha.
