Question about some old school speakers boxes.

Yes I have some old school Technics A-30's speakers an I was wanting to redo them if I can to save the original Sub boxes besides of building new ones for the pair, What do you do to feel up the screw holds wood putty or bondo or some kind of wood feeler and should I sand the boxes where the front part meets the boxes where the sub woofer's mount. If Any body have any idea's on how would I redo these speakers boxes I think the other box is in the same way just little age but if y'all have the time to take a look at the pictures and let me know on what to do and also will the small Lepai mini amp would push these 2 10's??
