la negra Posted April 7, 2015 Report Share Posted April 7, 2015 I have a 5.3 2001 tahoe and just installed dual alts. one is a singer 275 plus the factory alt is back on now. with the singer alt I had no problem, even when I took off the factory alt I had no problems. now I soldered both wires from one alt to another. so here's my deilma with just the truck on at idle the voltage jumps from 14.8 -15.00. it jumps fast and doesn't hold steady. what did I do wrong?
