mike-g
hi, i need advice on cutting recess for subwoofers.I made the mistake of cutting the holes with a jigsaw and then clean up with a router free handed (rookie mistake) instead of making a jig and cutting recess first.is there a way to make a jig after holes are cut or somehow to make a guide cause free hand sucks.any tips advice on making a jig (after the fact) or anything would greatly be appreciated (by the way its double baffle 3/4 & 2-12's)and holes are already cut out.thanks for any help

Bob Tzimenatos
At this point, your best bet is to get some scrap plywood and make a template the same size as the recess for the sub frame. Make or buy a circle jig for your router and straight bit. Cut out the hloe size you want in the scrap ply. Get a top bearing flush cut router bit. Center the new template over your ugly holes and set the flush cut bit to the depth you need to recess the sub frame.
