Jordan Thurston Posted May 2, 2015 Report Share Posted May 2, 2015 Just got an alpine mrp-m2000 off eBay said it works fine which it does it powers up works fine at moderate volumes but when I turn the volume up to about 3/4 volume it cuts out. Jordan Thurston Posted May 2, 2015 Author Report Share Posted May 2, 2015 Subs are wired to 2 ohms seeing 2.2 ohms at the amp checked with a multimeter I will have to check the voltage when it's at high volume I'm thinking it has to be something with not getting enough power I had 2 hifonics 1500 watt amps in there before this amp and they worked fine but because this amp is actually 2000 watts it's maybe drawing to much power I have an agm under the good stock 120 amp alternator 1/0 power wire and 2 smaller agms in the back. Jordan Thurston Posted May 2, 2015 Author Report Share Posted May 2, 2015 I think something is going on with my alternator it started out at 14.6 volts cranked the volume it dropped to 12.3 volts then I turned the radio down it went to 13.9 volts then slowly dropped to 13 and is staying at about 13 volts almost like the alternator isn't charging like it should Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
