firebirdude
Manufacturer's suggestions aren't worth the paper they're printed on. Grab some accurate T/S specs and let the software do its magic.
LTZ_NVX
thanks, ill work on that today, gotta try to round up the t/s on the vcw152, the manual only has about half of the ones requested listed, but, i found a site that has all t/s parameter definitions, and i think i can get some of them figured out, if i cant, is it an absolute sin to use t/s values from a similar sub, i wouldnt think it would destroy a beginners build, right? http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/thiele.asp http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_46596_NVX-VCW152.html
Triticum Agricolam
I would avoid substituting parameters from other subs. There is enough info on NVX's website to get you going. When designing a bandpass box, you don't just take the recommended sealed box and and ported box size and put the two together. Also forget anything you hear about "ratios". You want to make the chamber sizes whatever they need to be to get the frequency response you want, regardless of what "ratio" they end up being.
