Motor Swap-body Drop-adjustable Suspension

Recommended Posts

On my RC car!

Tonight, Justin (01xtreme), came to the shop so I had him mess with the RC.

He took the tiny ass motor out of mine and we swapped in a bigger one from a much faster car.

It wasn't easy. Had to heat and swap out gears and drill new holes. Hard to do on all that small stuff. For me it was anyways.

We got the motor in and it worked.............for a little while. With no set screw to secure the gear on the shaft, I tried CA glue. I will use JB Weld or something on it next time.

But for the most part, it moved forward and spun the tires.

It has a smaller motor at each wheel for the suspension. It has front and back and side to side. I want to make it just front and back. Thinking a bigger motor in the center so I can get it to go up and down faster.

I am kinda lost on how to do this right now. But I have zero experience in RC's.

If you have experience, and extra parts around that aren't gonna do you any good, feel free to donate them to our shop play time. PM me for address. PLEASE.

Here are some pics of tonights work.........

Was that a bullet holding the hood open? Cool RC, it has got to be a lot of fun.

It is a 38 holding the hood open.

While Justin was swapping the motors on this thing, I was actually working. I was stripping vinyl off a customers door panels that I will be 'glassing and that bullet fell out of one of the map pockets.

Gotta love FL.
