Dash4nier
Heard these subs like a big port but not quite sure just how big to make it. I plan on building a box right around 4.5 cubes tuned to 32hz and running a single Soundqubed HDC3 15". Will a 5.5" x 12" port work well? Bigger? Smaller? haven't cut any wood yet just trying to finalize design plans for my first custom box build.

Dash4nier
4.5 cubic feet NET. Sub will be powered off a Soundstream Tarantula series (2000 rms)... also when I calculated everything out on an online port calculator, a 5.5x12 inch port in a 4.5 cubic foot box needs to be around 30 inches deep in order to hit 32hz (If that information helps as well)

Cj Kumz
I once ran a single hdc3 15 in a 5.5 cube box with a 10inch port with 2000rms. Changed to a 4.5 cube box with 68sq inch slot port and seemed better sounding to me. Both were tuned to 36hz. The hdc3s like higher tuning. dsw422
Ok.. So you are going to want a MINIMUM port area of 90 sq in.. thats a 7.5 x 12 inch port... Port length for 90 sq in in a 4.5 net box tuned to 32 hz is 44.58 in 2014 Ford Focus SE Sedan Factory Sony 10 Speaker Sound System 1994 Ford Bronco Dual head unit (i kno) Sony door speakers Kenwood Rear Speakers Custom Center console in the works. will house an NVX NSW10" https://m.facebook.com/WinnsCustomCarAudio/
