strig1 Posted August 4, 2015 Report Posted August 4, 2015 I am getting a custom box for my JL 12 w6v3. The person building my box is building a ported box tuned to 33hz and 2.0 cuft of air. From what i've gathered some people say that sub doesn't need much air and some say if you give it a bigger box it will only sound nicer. Saving trunk room isn't a concern at all. Would this work well?

Would this work well? JL recommends a 1.3 per woofer. You can do larger which can make the woofer play lower but also lowers the power handling so be careful with how much you beat on it http://www.jlaudio.com/12w6v3-d4-car-audio-w6v3-subwoofer-drivers-92141 Twitter: @CarAudioChris Instagram: @Caraudiochris Facebook: CarAudioChris Blog: www.caraudiochris.com
