Calibasshead Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 I have this extremely weird alternator whine problem and I am trying to get this resolved. If I take a somewhat hard right turn, I get alt whine out of my driver side tweeter. It's like the whole left side of the car goes out. I have two runs of 1/0 going along the driver side and due to being low on funds when I put the system together, I have speaker wire ran on that side as well. I have Knu 14gauge speaker coming in next week so I can run both driver and passenger speaker wires on one side. Any other possibilities? Maybe the left channel on the amp is faulty? I've had this system for two years and it didn't start happening until a few months ago.
Clownrock95 Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 If it were my truck I would start (lightly) wiggly jiggling everything (pull the head unit give it a wiggle wiggle the amp ect) and with the music playing to see if it cuts out past that check your grounds maybe other than that I'm beat like a _______ (insert nonoffensive word here) (Also might be a good idea to say what your setup is)
Calibasshead Posted October 1, 2015 Author Report Posted October 1, 2015 I'll start wiggling things around to see if I can replicate it. My setup is a pair of Image Dynamics CTX65s components mounted in the factory door opening. The tweeters are flush mounted in the doors as well. I have an SSA XCON 15 mounted in a 5ft^3 box tuned to 33hz powered by an MB Quart ONX2000d. My Electrical is a stock 135a alt(until the mechman arrives), Die Hard Platinum G34 up front, XS Power XP3000 in the rear and 2 runs of 1/0 gauge Knu connecting the batts in parallel.
