Smj1982 Posted January 18, 2016 Report Share Posted January 18, 2016 I have an 08 328i with no aftermarket amps, speakers, or subs. All that is aftermarket is the pioneer head unit. Everything sounds fine but I can't go past level 13-14 of volume without the bass from the factory subs distorting. I connected the speaker level outputs of the head unit to the stereo harness that connects to the factory harness. Is this basically double amplifying the sound? Should I use the RCA outputs of the deck to the adapter harness that connects to the factory harness? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
