Probably just a shitty battery. That black wire with the red stripe is the power wire connected to the battery. Quote Team Deadly Hertz

sostl314
so i just finished doing the big 3 yesterday.. then today my battery died, good thing i pulled over to the parking lot before it completely stalled.i think my mistake was that i connected the (+) on the battery to the (-) on the alternator, but im not sure.. i did connect it to a bolt which a black wire with little red stripe is attached to. do you think that is the (-) on the alternator? i ended up replacing the battery with an optima yellowtop because it didn't work no matter how many times we tried to jumpstart it. were you driving when this happen? kentb
update: i just replaced my yellowtop today, maybe the alternator didn't charge it. so i got a new one(again) but this time i took out the 1/0 ground wires. so everything is stock wiring now. but i still get the battery indicator light right now... this is pissing me off. i might have to go to autozone to get it checked Quote New System 2 10" Fi SSD, Sundown 1500d Build I build and design enclosures(cheap price), PM ME Kicker L7 Navigator(plexiglass, fiberglass, aeroport) Build BTL 18" Escalade(plexiglass, battery tray) Build http://www.kentbaudio.com Old System
mcnaught82
but i don't see any black wire with red strip on the positive terminal of my battery? It probably doesnt run directly to the battery, it probably is fused off somewhere and the wire changes from there.
