ssaulen2011 Posted July 26, 2016 Report Posted July 26, 2016 Ok so I'm unsure what the problem is but at an idle right now with nothing on except the engine itself my voltage is bouncing around from 13.2 - 13.8 but never gets higher than that.. I didn't have this problem before I added my system to the vehicle. System includes... SHCA 0ga for big 3 Stock Front Batt Stock Alt (150amp) KnuKoncepts 0ga power to Kinetik HC800 in rear Kinetik grounded to body 0ga KnuKoncept 4ga Power and ground for amps MB Quart RA200.1 for subs MB Quart OA800.4 for doors SHCA 8ga speaker for subs SHCA 12ga speaker for doors 2 Sundown Audio SA 12's Alpine SPR-60C in front doors Alpine SPR-60 in rear doors I have checked and double checked everything and all grounds look fine! Im wondering if my ALT is going bad and its just a coincidence in timing. I have went as far as unhooking everything from the car and the voltage is still unstable and doesn't go any higher than 13.8... So if you agree that its probably my ALT which HO ALT company can get me one the fastest ? Keep in my this is my DD and absolutely need that voltage problem fixed but also need enough power for system so if my ALT is going bad what size do you think I need? 240amp Mechman enough you think?
ssaulen2011 Posted July 26, 2016 Author Report Posted July 26, 2016 I should probably add that the MB Quart RA2000.1 is wired to 1 ohm 2000 watt RMS and the MB Quart OA800.4 is wired to 4 ohm 100watt RMS per channel for a total of 400RMS.. All together im at 2400 RMS
