Nick33BC
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005EHINAS/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=18YOPGTVCQKNJ&coliid=IJ7RN7I3MORCD Problem solved and way better than any Hifonics. The Behringer iNuke only shows it's peak wattages but apparently the actual rating is 2x1040W RMS at 2Ohms and 2075RMS at 4Ohms Bridged. Now the INUKE would probably much much easier handling than a car amp but the car amp is 370AUD and the INUKE is 470AUD. But also if i got the car amp it would also mean i could plonk the sub and amp directly into my car if i wanted to without having to buy anything new. I will probably have to think about it. DLHgn
I would honestly just get the Inuke and save yourself the trouble. It will be more reliable than piecing things together and you won't have to worry about drawing too much power. If that is too much for you you may want to take a look at the version that doesn't come with a built in DSP but a word of caution, if your signal source doesn't put out a LFE signal, you will have to make sure the setting is switched on the amp (literally a switch on the back) to LFE otherwise you will be sending a full range signal to the sub and will most likely fry it needles to say it won't sound good.
