1 Aly multiple batts...confused

Recommended Posts

I'm so confused and can't seem to figure out what I need to do!

I have a DC 5.0k want to run  at .5ohms daily with a 270Amp alternator and 1 batt up front (agm 24F) and want to use two H8 Agms in the rear. How do I go about wiring from front to back, do I do multiple runs of 2/0 from the front batt to the rear batts or could I get away with one run of 2/0 and use multiple runs between the two rear batts and the amp? Also how would I go about the negative, 1 2/0 run from front batt to rear or multiple runs from front batt to rear? I'm sure I'm making this harder then it needs to be! My batts have sae terminals how can I tie the rear batts together? Do I have to use something like the Jims machine sae terminal posts or can I use an sae buss bar (if they exist?)

I've tried researching be for I asked but I see so many things it just confuses me more, can someone tell me exactly what I need to do I really appreciate it, this is my biggest install and want to do it right thanks guys!
