Kenwood Problems

I have a kenwood KVT-817..I'm having a problem with it, It stays in stadby mode, But I am to use(access) my navigation, But everything else I try to access(tuner, Settings, DVD..) It just dies..

Update;

There is a reset button on the front, And I have tried it a hundred time by now...I did get it to work, 5 out of them hundred times...But, After awhile it would go blank and I'd have to reset it just to get it to say "standby"....

One time I shut the door and that made it stop, Another time I punched the door and that stopped it..I'm not blowin any fuses...Even when it goes blank there is still power, I know this because, When I hit the eject button I can hear motor going, But I still have to hit the reset button to get it to light up and give me the "standby" message..

I'm not sure if there is a wiring problem somewhere or if a wiring problem would cause this..

It was working fine when I last listened to it, Last summer..
