In need of 15 F250 SD Isolator

What was your reasoning for adding one?  As these 2 other members (high post counts) seem to advise that its not needed for my specific setup.

Have two battery banks and want to keep bank A isolated from bank B while discharging bank B. I'm in agreement that you have to evaluate the  purpose or need for isolating batteries in the first place.  In this case, if the XS battery(s) are of a differing chemistry, size, or age verses the Ford batteries, then connecting everything in parallel is not ideal as the batteries with a naturally higher voltage will equalize with batteries that sit at a lower voltage.  That's not conducive to battery longevity, but difficult to quantify with so many variables that affect battery longevity.  In my particular case, an isolator was desirable for self-jumping and the ability to purposely discharge my aux. battery when camping, without effecting the ability to start the truck the next day.
