014Runner
I have recently acquired a 4Runner that I am going to make my new project. I already have two Sundown v5 15s and a Sundown scv-4000D installed. All wiring is done in 0 gauge including the big 3 upgrade. I have contacted several different alternator companies and am having trouble finding a company to make me one. Based on my research I have determined that a GM CS 144 alternator will fit on my 4Runner. I am considering having one of these built and then installing it. Josh at Mechman said that I could go as high as 370 amp but I would have to install a thicker belt with new pulleys. He claimed that I could run a 250 amp with the factory belt and pulleys but it would have to be tightened a lot and could run the risk of slipping. I'm not sure which route I want to go. Any recommendations?
