They still take a bit more but I wouldn't go much more than 200 watts rms above their rated level. Why not just buy the new L7 08 models? They are much more resistent to heat and look much better then the 07 models. Not to mention you can get like two brand new L7s off ebay for like $380 with shipping lol. All I was really saying is that the newer L7s look better and are more efficient with heat than the older ones.
