CPT.scratchandsniff Posted May 6, 2019 Report Posted May 6, 2019 I’m looking to build a new sub box for my 3rd door Chevy Silverado. Plan is to remove the back seat and build a large box right into the truck. Preferably console height. Front firing, front port with a flat top to place groceries/ whatever I’m carrying. This is my daily Got a couple options for gear lying around. Currently installed in a box on the back seat is a 18” Fi audio BTL N2 in a box that it came with (not sure of tuning unfortunately and got it from a buddy, used but still slams). Alternatively I have a pair of alpine type r 15s. In a small ported box, was told it was tuned to 42htz but it has pretty small ports and I believe the woofers want a larger enclosure than this power will be my sound stream t1.4000d (2000w rms rayed) with plans of adding a second one later would eventually like like to wall off the back but I don’t think my single 18 or pair of 15s are wall worthy What would u do in this truck with this available gear? Thx for your time.
