TonWardHD
In this video this guy has a series 6th with 4 Zv5 18” on about 12k. i find it crazy how low his is tuned and how good it is. 1) Would you say he tuned at 16 and 48 or a little lower than both since it peaks at those? 2) which chamber is the low tuned and high tuned? 3)For a 6th order does it matter which chamber is tuned to what? Is there a preference? 4) does the lower tuned chamber have to be the larger one when not doing 1:1? For this guys setup would there be a preferred ratio based on his tuning and setup? kalilac619
He's probably tuned higher than that for instance I have a 2 18 series 6th order and I'm tuned 22hz rear and 48hz front and my bandwidth is 12hz-73hz... the rear is the low tuned chamber and the front is the high tuned chamber rear chamber is always the low tuned chamber on a series 6th order rear chamber doesn't necessarily have to be the larger one but can be at times...mine is a 1.35:1ratio (14cuft rear and 19cuft front) and I've shrank the rear and front multiple times to see differences and this one just happened to be the best overall....there's a lot more to it then just ratios ..it's more about getting the turnings, port sizes and chamber sizes to play nicely together cause if ones off a lot of bad can happen 2000 Suburban 6 runs of 2/0 12 timpano audio mids,6 timpana audio tweets and 1 timpano compression horn per door 8 banks of blue Maxwells + 260ah of Yin Long LTOs 2 370 Amp Autotech Alts mids amps 2 Crescendo Skyway 3ks Tweet amp Crossfire 2000.4 sub amp: 4 Crossfire XT 8ks Subs: 8 18 in Crossfires in a 4th order Best Scores at events… 161.6@38hz DBdrag sealed on the dash… 162.54 outlaw…161.14 Meca headrest
TonWardHD
Could a good estimate of his rear tuning be told? Probably close to yours? About low 20’s? How low below tuning does serious or a decent amount of unloading occur? And so the 36”x24”x2” opening is his front port? I haven’t done anything like this but what allows for such a short length?
