Djboss Posted February 14, 2020 Report Share Posted February 14, 2020 have a 2012 Ford Escape with Sync, Nav and the Premium Audio Package. I'm upgrading the system adding 2 amps one 4 channel for the door speakers which I replaced with Infinity Kappa 6x8 and 1 mono amp for the 2 12in subwoofers. I will be keeping the factory radio and installing a Audio Control DQ-61 https://www.audiocontrol.com/car-audio/factory-system-upgrade/dq-61/. Now the Factory Amp for the door speakers if correct is located under the Passenger seat. I was going to remove the amp and put the DQ-61 in the same location and connect the speaker terminals that come from the head unit into the amp input directly to the DQ-61 Bypassing the amp. Since I'm adding new amps it will still work if i remove the factory amp. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
