Big PD Posted November 28, 2020 Report Posted November 28, 2020 I’m building fiberglass boxes for my son, I’m trying to figure what i can do for the ports ?. The subs are American Bass XFL-1022 there is 4 of them. The amps are AudioPipe 15001 there are 4 of those. The box measures ( inside dimension ) is 1.597 cuft no speaker no port each separate chambers. I would like to mount them motor side out. Wired 1 ohm load. he listens to RAP. So I’d assume 30hz. ? What can i do for a port size round or square help.....
Big PD Posted November 28, 2020 Author Report Posted November 28, 2020 Forgot to mention the vehicle is a 2009 RangeRover sport. The boxes are mounted to inner quarter panels. 2 per side facing opposite of each other.
Big PD Posted December 2, 2020 Author Report Posted December 2, 2020 Anybody please. If enclosure is 1.5 cuft. With speaker mounted on outside of box. Could I do a 3” PVC. I can do up to 20” total length. I have WinISsD just dot understand it. The air velocity is Big. ( I think ). Will I have Port noise. I’ll be tuning with SMD meters I’d bought several years back.
