Caleb proctor
So i have two dayton audio 1000’s trying to power a 72 pound, dual 4 ohm sundown 18 in a 4 cuft ported box (yea the box should be 7 cuft according to sundown). sub amps are getting good LFE signal from a Denon but they just dont quite get the sub moving a whole lot (but yea the bass is fairly loud). Was wondering if there is anyone out there that makes home audio sub amps that go beyond 1000 watts and if not,,, why the hell not. Watching one of the vids of smd’s tower speakers he built years ago with all the mids and high atop of the 18” sub with twin passives, looks like he has two 4000 watt amps powering the two 18’s? Also what version of the Bach Toccata song does meade play?
