Lacinaround Posted February 13, 2023 Report Share Posted February 13, 2023 I just installed 2 15” massive hippos 2000 rms in my custom box. after about 5 minutes it smelled like burnt coil and alittle smoke came out of the box. I turned the volume down as I was told it would cool it down faster then just turning it off completely. I’ve never owned new subs so I don’t now if this is common. My car still has the smell in it. But I turned them on the next day and they still sound good. How messed up would they be if they smoked alittle? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
