SpunZ Posted September 7, 2024 Report Posted September 7, 2024 Hello I have two 1 ohm stable 2k amps and two dual 2 ohm subs my original plan was to just wire each amp separately to each sub that way each sub was getting 1 ohm. I was talking to a buddy and he started bring up strapping the 2k amps together. from that I discovered that it would no longer be possible to wire the subs at 1 ohm each (at least I think) as the amps strapped would be 4k rms at 2 ohms . I’m looking for another option or opinion on how I should go about this as I just want the most power I can get. Thank you.
Readbeard Pro Car Audio Posted September 8, 2024 Report Posted September 8, 2024 Wire to 1 ohm each speaker and 1 ohm at each amp individual you just jump rca output to rca imput to second amp. Run crossover or equalizer before sub amps.
Readbeard Pro Car Audio Posted September 8, 2024 Report Posted September 8, 2024 Put terminals on each side. I'd just do bolt terminals on one side and use whatever is on other side since probably a hole there. Or get smd terminals.
