97Dime Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 A 2000 watt RMS amplifier running at 80% efficiency would consume roughly 140 amps by itself at maximum output. You also need to take into consideration that the vehicle itself (AC, blower fan, headlights, igniton, etc...) will consume aprox 40 amps. A 140 amp Denso alternator (what you would be buying for your f23) will produce roughly 70 amps at idle, leaving you at about a 110 amp deficit at idle, i.e. you would still have low voltage anf dimming headlights. i need to get one of those alts. for my toyota 4runner Quote 1999 Chevy Blazer 4 dr.
