mk_ Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 Hey guys, I'm throwing around the possibility of running a GP3000D pro @ .5 ohm daily. Just wanted to get an idea of what kind of power it would make at that impedance. My application will be 12v. And while I'm at it. Should I go with two 18" BTLs on the GP3000D @ .5 ohm or one 18" BTL on the GP3000D @ 1 ohm? Nothing is set in stone yet, however your opinions are appreciated. Thanks. Michael
BigPimpin91 Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 Why not just get The BTL's in D1 coils and wire the amp at 1 ohm? BigPimpin91's Banging Music

Well, as much as I hate to say it, what i got is what i got. Stuck with two D2's BTL's and I'm either gonna use them both with a .5 stable amp or use one @ 1 ohm and sell the other. Not even sure two 18's will fit in my car, but like I said, I was throwing the idea around and if I really wanted to make it happen I probably could work something out

It will keep your box rise down, meaning more power. BigPimpin91's Banging Music

mk_ Posted December 1, 2008 Author Report Posted December 1, 2008 Yup, that makes sense. I'm probably just going to stick with the single speaker with single amp. Appreciate the input.
