raytard
well, heres what im getting( 3/4 in mdf), outside dimensions of 17high, 28 wide, 24 deep, a port using a vertical wall that ends up being 15.5h x 3w inches x 25inches long in there i included ~.6cuft of bracing, so u can use what you like internally, maybe a top to bottom, front to back to one side of the sub (move the sub as far oppisite the port as you can and brace next to it, and one left to right, maybe with allthread, so that the port and such is braced. not needed if you have access to 1in thick mdf, i can re-do sizes slightly to compensate just so u can see what i mean as far as configuration, first one on google images that was right...idk who those people are with that, its about a 32hz tuning, about 12.25 sqinport/cube, 3.8cu/ft (what fi says is right in their optimum tuning) port i guess is a little small for spl, but should belt out great sq and be very musical, and with a 15inch bl @ 1000wattsrms, u shouldnt have problems. if you dont plan on bracing, or are using allthread throughout, let me know, basically take 1in off the width for every .2cu/ft of bracing you dont want to use to keep tuning/size consistant, leaving it too big will drop tuning and effeciency unfortunately, but still be fine, just not optimum.
