Box Design Help

Hi, i am having trouble designin a box, everytime i do it using the box calculator on the re site the box seems too big to me. could anyone help me out? i wanna make a ported box for either the re sx 12 or the re se 12, either way the re specs for compact is 1.5 cu at 35 hz or for nominal its 2 cu at 33hz. the max width is 36 and i believe i was using 13.5 for my height but i cant remember off the top of my head but i will remeasure the max height later. i would prefer if it wasnt 36" wide tho. if anyone can help me out, that would be greatly appreciated
