Cadence Amp Giving Me Problems

Hey Guys,

My wife has a nice small system in her 07 Suzuki Grand Vitara. To give you a brief summary:

Pioneer AVH P6650

JL Audio XR650-CSi 6.5" Components in the front

JL Audio VR650-CXi 2-ways in the back

JL Audio 12W3v3-2 12" sub

all controlled by a Cadence 5-Channel FX500 amp.

We've had this system for nearly 18 months. Worked great for her. The other day, she started the car as normal, then heard a "crackle and a pop" and then, no sound. I noticed the overload light on the Amp was on. I investigated when i got home from work. I disconnected the Sub then turned the system on. All I was getting was bass-y noise. I disconnected one of the 2 sub RCA leads to the AMP and the noise was reduced to almost nothing and I could hear the music almost faultless (very small amount of noise only hearable under "5" on the volume scale, anything above that drowned out the noise). I then decide to start the car. Well, this just got interesting. I could now hear engine noise, quite loudly. This sucks as I don't know what to do. Any help?
