I've been sleeping on an idea for some time now. As of now the idea is only a concept and i know that this project will cost well over 30 grand. I’m into factory looks and OEM systems. As most of you know Infiniti's audio systems aren’t the best, to the average listener many might disagree but as an audiophile like myself many would agree their systems don’t have great sound.

I plan to fully customize an 07 M45. I want to keep the original head unit because most of the electronic features are run through it. Also the steering wheel controls and everything about the system looks great why tamper with it? I plan to rip out every last speaker in the car and most of the upholstery for the custom interior work. At the end of this customization there will be a minimum of 30 speakers the draw up i did shows 45 speakers but i know that will have to be cut down. This includes tweeters-subs. just about every surface in the car will have a speaker hidden away or fabricated into it. I have been looking at Hertz speakers that will be powered by focal amps. All wiring will be high grade Monster cables.

What would be the best way to power this system? I will have 6 subs for sure. i want to power each one powered individually by its own amp. Each amp is under 1000 watts. The amps won’t be that powerful and I don’t want to run them full power for safety purposes. I do not feel like replacing anything. Still warranty is a must for all of these products are going to cost well over $500.

As of now my idea is to have at least 2-4 4channel amps to power the component systems in the housing. there are going to be at least 8-12 amps.

What do you guys think would be the most logical way to power this system? I'm considering Kinetik batteries and upgrading the alternator, though this would be the hardest part to do on this car. Powering this system will be the most difficult part on this project.

reason i put such a high cost. is because not only am i adding audio stuff. i will have to do alot of performance upgrades to maintain the original feel of the ride and speed. all the extra weight from the batteries and speakers will cause the performance to be limited. i don't want the car to be dropped in the back and be hitting bumps and scraping.I'm adding new rims and tires, suspension, exhaust, air intake and maybe even work on the body kit. i might even go into adding a turbo system and other engine parts to boost its performance.

so figure 5grand or more on performance. and i already factored out the cost for the audio equipment and that comes to around 20grand when its all said and done.

Getting an alt for your car will not be that hard. I've already gotten quotes for my brother's '04 Range Rover & my '03 Discovery. A lil more pricey than other manufacturers (i.e. Chevy, GMC, Ford, etc...) but I guess that's what you get when you pay for luxury vehicles. Also, do you own a set of audiophile headphones (i.e. Grado, AKG, etc..)? If so, I encourage you to take that music test. I forgot which site it was on but I'm sure someone here could inform you. I only did decent when I took it. Who makes the stock speakers for Infinitys? I know Harmon Kardon makes all the stuff for Mercedes Benz, BMW, Land Rover. Personally, I feel that they sound VERY good for stock. Of course, a set of good Focals can do better I believe.

If I read right, you expect 6subs in that car? You must be shooting for 10s or 8s. That's gonna be a hard fit. Honestly, I don't think you will be able to tell a huge difference b/t 15comps vs 35comps except for loudness. How loud do you want your car when you are driving? If you are a true audiophile, you probably don't listen to your music really loud.

And to my knowledge, I think RF gives Monster a very good run for their money in cables.

The o.g system in the m45 is bose. But the problem with the highs are to harsh with little bass. You hear bass only from the rear and it isn't set up properly. They tried with the speakers they put into the seat right next to your ears but the sound like there farther away than they really are. I'm going to try and fabricate a bass system for each seat.aswell center speakers for the rear so each person can have there own 5.1 setup. I got the idea from critical mass.
