BHSskaterBHS Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 today was the biggest eye opener yet. as some of you know ive been running 4 12" sonys on 200 watts of power at 1ohm, which is fucking ridiculous seeing that the rms of each sub is 200. my friend murt "chevyridah" forum user name, told me to stop by his house and hed hook up his 1000 watt amp up to them and see what they could do. So i stopped by and he ran a line from his truck to my car and i was waiting for the bass to drop and omg when it hit it fucking shook my brain! me and him are running up to Nashville this weekend to get me a new amp because i cant even listen to my shit with the amp i have now that i know what it can realy do. my question is how much do you think these subs can handle rms wise because ive heard sony bullshits there numbers. ive had a shit load of upgrades since my last posts so after i get my amp ill start a new thread showing how loud it bangs! 2002 FORD EXPLORER PACKED WITH SOME CHEAP SUBWOOFERS!

Duvanator Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 I would say a solid 1200 watt rms amp would put them in their ideal handling head unit - Panasonic MXE CQ-C7403U amp - Cerwin-Vega EXL 1200D subs - (x2) Cerwin Vega V-MAX 15.4 box - 5.8 ^3 at 32hz spkrs- Phoenix Gold Rsd Comps
