Need Advice On Audioque Hdc3 18"

Recommended Posts

if you want to "beat" on them every day then get aluminum.

if you put 1000 RMS give or take a few hundred watts then copper should do you fine.

I beat on my copper coil hdc318 with an aq2200 with zero issues, woofer never got warm. Supposedly the copper coil woofers are more sensitive than the aluminum version. I had mine in 5.75 @ 38hz. It got loud but it really could have used a bigger box or more power

talk with this guy. hes got the same equipment.

i'm just going from what i know and have seen.

Blow them away? That's hard to say. They both handle the same power & it's ALL in the install. I think they are VERY comparable. If I had to choose b/t the two, I'd I choose DC. It's all what you want though. Was going to go w/ DC, but now I'm going to go w/ a single IA DP 21" instead of (2) DC LV4XLs. It'll save me $1000 and I'll get that 'wow' factor when people see it.
