accord_exr Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 can anyone help me i got a kenwood deck and it's stays in protect mode it just started doin it today, i pressed reset the first time and it worked but it did it again and now it just says protect flashing does anyone know whats wrong with it? Mtgrooves Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 I just had a guy come in today with that same problem at our shop. His problem was a half blown speaker that metered out at 1 ohm. Once I disconnected the speaker all was good in kenwood land. Just use a DMM to check your speaker impedance and check for a straight ground on all the leads sometimes a grounding out speaker can cause this problem as well. As far as voltage goes if you power reads below 11 or above 16 volts you'll shut down a kenwood deck too. I hope this helps you out man. The Shoe Maker without shoes!
