The words "max spl" and "premade box" should never be in the same sentence. It all depends on your car, but shouldn't really make a difference. alvitae
I found a pre-fab I liked. I'm not using it now but it was a center slot. For 2 12's. 1.6 cube feet each side. The port went to the back, then on each side to the front. So two boards on each side made the port. The one closest to the subs stopped a few inches short of the front, Then the next one stopped a few inches short of the back. So the port was basically double the box depth. No idea of the tuning or make. It came in a car I bought. I tried an Obcon godzilla bandpass. 500ish retail i was told by someone. I found in a pawn shop. Not as loud. Trying a custom designed and built resined and braced box now. And it has yet to get as loud. I'm not done with it though. /shrug. I'm no expert and don't know why that center slot is so much louder than other boxes I've had it just is.
