Come on guys someone has to know this answer..

It's more like a horn in many ways. The port is effectively from the end of the 'chambers' into the middle, out through the 'port' and then right out to the front of the wall. In a way it flares out so that even the cabin air is helping to load the woofers.

I'll reply to your PM soon, I'm just busy as hell at work.

For Colin, I would make it so you can tweak the length of the port extension to make it sound how you like it :) I suspect with a larger cabin you will need to make it a little longer, a lot of this design relies on the extremely small cabin allowing the wall to load properly (or bandpass with a window down for rediculous hairtricks :D)

That works for me! I likes to tinker and tune anyway. :)

I really think this is the winner. I will prob. make the port really long at first and then just cut it down if things need changing. Makes sense that it would need a longer port to help the subs load- especially if this was designed for a little car and I will be putting it in the back of an Astro with much more air in front of the enclosure. I def. looking for tha' :hairtrick:

You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain. I would follow you to hell and back.
