So my 1200 watt brutus only puts out about 1000-1100 true watts depending on my voltage drop. But i dont see that as a negative since you get a lot for your money anyway.Are you planning on running 4 amps or just one to all 4 18's? Deppends on what amp you get and what 18's you are running. dmanson Posted March 16, 2009 Report Share Posted March 16, 2009 do they draw a lot of current... yes and no, but you'd better have your electrical straight once you get past 1000rms. i've had the two hifonics brutus 1500ds running and yeh they can take sort of a toll on your system. upgraded to a 225 amp alt, three batteries and MLA mod and i've been running my 2200d at 15.2 volts, no problem at all. hifonics are pretty good amps for the price.
