i have had 2 different woofers kicker cvt 10's and cvr 12's in a downfire box in my extended cab gmc sierra i got rid of them because they didn produce what i wanted to hear the 10's didnt hit low enough i don know if it makes a difference being shallow mount or not but i prefer 12's and the cvr jus was not enough bass i am looking at the new kicker solo classic and the rf p3 shallow but i jus want to know how to get the loudest bass out of a downfire box and whether or not shallow mount makes a difference in the highs and lows the sub hits so anyone who might have an answer please help

Depends on how much power your running, but most subs usually sound fairly good in a downfire box...

im gonna run as much power as they need i jus sold my planet audio vx 900d when i got rid of my mojo 15 but i really liked that amp and i know where i can get a planet audio vx 2200 D so thats most likely what i will get hopefully that will give more than enought power any subs i get
