whitedragon551 Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 I am new to the car audio scene. Ive only really been doing speakers and head units in all my cars. Ive had the same set of crappy subs for 3 years now. They just dont cut it any more. Ive moved on to my first serious sub setup. Im going to run a DC Sound Lab Level 4 15" sub at 1-ohm around 1400-1600 RMS. The only reason I went with one is because I have a 3 year old and will need some sort of trunk space. As Im a newb to this stuff I have no idea how to do dimensions, what the abbreviations mean, or how to make sure the box is tuned to the right Hz for the sub. I would like to do the recommended SPL ported box from DC Sound Labs website. DC Sound Lab Spec The System In Progress Headunit: Pioneer DEH5800MP Sub: DC Sound Lab Level 4 15" D2 Box: 4 cubes at 33Hz Sub Amp: Cadence Z1200 Front Stage: PG RSD5cs Rear Stage: Pioneer TSA6991R (Temporary) Front and Rear Amp: Cadence TXA3004 (FS) (Looking) Wiring: XScorpion, American Bass, Stinger Custom Pro 4 Gauge
