New to the forum. i have an 04 tahoe with the following

220 amp alternator

2 optima yellow tops

3 12 kicker cvx dual 2 ohm

3 crossfire VR1000d to each sub at 1ohm

1 crossfire VR404 for mids and highs

custom box built by a local shop (that sounds like shit lol)

I have 3 kids and really really need my third row in there.

Ground shaker has a down firing sub setup that fits in back of the third row.

Does any one in here have any experiences with a setup like this?

Would anyone recommend it?

Can i get enough airspace for each sub in that limited space?

I have done many of hard hitting systems with down firing subs...just make sure you keep plenty of distance between them and the floor...I try to keep at least half the sub diameter off the floor just did one not that long ago with about 2500 watts about to double up the power on them..they sound great!

I really like doing down fires in suv's in the back storage area they really seem work out well. I did one for a friend of mine with two eclipse 8812's and built a storage rack on top of it and it worked out great. I've also done a down fire for CVR's before with two 12's and that came out great too I closed off the back side of the floor facing area and it kind of created a slot port using the floor. However I've never tried three subs in a down fire it should pound but you'll have to deaden the floor like a mother F'er to avoid rattles. I'd like to see how it comes out I'm here to help if need be man. :friends:
