white4d96 Posted April 15, 2009 Report Posted April 15, 2009 My friend is restomodding a '73 Mustang, and he's hitting me up for questions on an audio build. Nothing super fancy, just something in case he gets bored of the motor noise. Cabin's gonna be simple and we'll get there when we get there, but he was looking for "something small" to fill in the sub-bass. Well, he ended up veering towards a Fi SSD in a small sealed box. Does anyone have any experience with these? He is looking for more of an SQ box than anything, crammed in a trunk corner. I am learning from this as much as he is, so any help will be greatly appreciated by us both. -Is the SSD a good buy for the money? He's looking at a 10 or 12, budget build. -Fi recommends a .6 to 1.0 ft^3 enclosure sealed. Smaller means more accurate, correct? I had him set up with dimensions for either a .78something or a 1.098 enclosure, minus a couple little doodads (marker light/taillamp displacements) -Anything else I should be made aware of? thanks -Austin Too many projects, too little time...
