BigJohnny
I don't just want to bass up an entire song, I would like to just boost certain low frequencies, while leaving the rest of the song/frequencies untouched. I can use goldwave, but you can only boost as low as 20hz, which may be fine, but it has a min. spread of 20hz. Meaning that it's boosting everything within 20hz of the desired frequency to boost. Are there any apps that have a lower spread, say 5hz, so it wouldn't affect too much of the song?
thehoe92
download the free version of audacity. go to effects and bass boost. it will ask you what frequency you want and how many db's you want to boost it. don't foget about clipping though don't go super crazy. I have tried doing it and I can hear a big difference. Quote Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple

raytard
if its already clipped, you cant really boost it...just make it clip more Quote Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now) Team DC
BigJohnny
Is there anything to fix i mean..... I suppose i could have worded that more clearly.... i can assume though that once its clipped, thats it.
thehoe92
well since Slim Thugs Boss of All Bosses is clipped to hell and I like those songs I tried fixing it. Audacity... Effects... Compressor... Ok. if you go to view and click show clipping than it will always show what is clipping in red. you will see the difference once the compressor effect is applied. Ok. if you go to view and click show clipping than it will always show what is clipping in red. you will see the difference once the compressor effect is applied. an other way is go on audacity's website you go to downloads and plug-ins and download the 90 other plug-ins and there is a declipper effect which is cool Edited May 2, 2009 by hondaxpower Quote Like Slowed Songs? ceptavl
ive tried audacity but i dont notice any difference. i set frequency to 35 (which is what my box is tuned to) and DB to 2. should i be doing something else?
BigJohnny
typically we can't pickup a difference of less than 3db..... so perhaps that is what your doing wrong..... maybe not it could be something else.
