I was doing some testing with the new recone for the 18 and it decided to break the windshield. The score on the meter got up to a 152.3 before it broke. I didnt even notice it was cracked until I did another test run and my score was down. So after a comp this Sunday when i see what else i can do to the windshield, ill get a new one. Thanks man, I was testing for a comp and it raised my score .7 db by turning it to the side like that. But i think it may have also played an affect in lowering my impedence rise. Before i turned it, i got the amps to do a full tilt burp with a big clipped signal wired at .25 ohms on each amp. but now i can hardly keep the amps from shutting off with just a clean signal burp. fritosaregood Posted May 5, 2010 Author Report Posted May 5, 2010 well i did some testing today and found out why my amps were shutting off. i did some power clamp tests and found that with the box turned to the side i was getting an imp rise of 2.5 to 3x not bringing me over the 2 ohm stapable load. and with my voltage dropping below 12 it would shut off. i tested again today with the box turned back forward and got almost a 5x rise. And with the less rise i could turn the volume up all the way with a big clipped signal and not even shut off. some scores to share, no pics though highest was a 152.2( still broken windshield) in the kick with drive door open. and a 151.3 on the dash driver door open.
