Zooyork2Sincity
I have a set of Seas Audio Prestige 1396 Tweeters also a set of Dayton Audio Reference RS180-4 I have them hooked up to a Xtant 603X Here is were my issue came in I was originaly told I had a 4 channel amp thinking this was the Xtant 604X and was originaly told had Scanspeak not Dayton audio non the less there Dayton they still sound good no worries. My issues is I blew my tweeters there is no crossover hooked up and the amp has a module that makes it from a 2 channel amp to a passive 4 channel amp. Whatever I do to the crossover points for the mids happen to the tweeters and they blow. I keep looking into different types of crossovers I find on ebay with the frequencies that will work and the ohm load that match and everyone tells me they wont work. To be honest I just suffered death in the family and don't have much more money at this time to sink in the system I wish I did but it will be a while. Can anyone suggest crossovers that will work. I been told to go Active but how I am totally unsure how to do this I have a front and rear input but the rear input is being used to control a center channel speaker cuz the 603X has a mono channel as well.. I really need help... I just need a strait honest non smart @$$ intelligent solution Here are the specs of my amp/ tweeters and mids below... http://daytonaudio.com/files/specs/RS180-4_specsheet.pdf http://www.seas.no/images/stories/prestige...g_datasheet.pdf http://xtant.com/archives/html/techSupport/pdfs/X603ins.pdf 1999 - 2Door Chevy Tahoe Kenwood KVT 915-DVD II 15” RE XXX (Fi Recone) II Components/ Center channel: Seas Audio, ScanSpea&k Dayton Reference II Amp’s: Xtant – 603 & 1001 Chipped & Tuned II Misc.
