BEllithorpe04
Hey guys, been around the forum for a little while but just layin low and lookin at builds and what not. I recently had an idea to do a cool looking design with my CVR's in separate boxes, all tuned the same and all the same specs, because i wanted the wrap around trunk look, and i was going to vinyl all of it and make it look nice. But then i got a new amp last week, a Crunch Groundpounder 1600.1 and mounted it on my fiberglass amp rack. The picture of the setup is my avatar picture. It changed the way it sounded for the better, and the flex was better because my old amp was about to die, but tuning sounded off and didnt hit the lows i wanted. I want to go with either a full trunk fiberglass shell, cut it in two, and have two separate fiberglass shells that meet together in the middle and look to be all the same thing, or go with a double baffled MDF box with a big port, and tune it to like 35-38 hertz. If i do the shell it will have to be in the summer, and if i do the MDF i could start this weekend, or do both lol then just take the MDF out and do the FG. If anyone could suggest some ideas for the box i would appreciate cuz as im writing this i figure i might as well do both lol thanks guys i really appreciate everything and seem to like this forum ALOT compared to others, mainly because there is a very small percentage of pricks on here and i think newbies need people to help not criticize. -Brian 1997 Pontiac Bonneville Black on Black on Black 15" DC Sound Labs Level 5 w/ quad coil in a T-Line tuned to 35 hz 7" Jensen VM9311TS Touch Screen Flip Out w/ J-Link Blue Custom Trim Blue Custom Fiberglass Rear Speaker Pods Autotek Mean Machine MM2000.1 1/0 Knukonceptz KLMX Rockford Fosgate Twisted RCA's 2 Audiopipe Anl fuse holders w/ 200A Kicker fuses 2nd battery (Soon to be an Odyssey D3100) Dynamat Extreme Bulk Pack Custom False Floor 15% Tint All Around Custom Painted Stock Rims My Build Log Tailights 15" Lvl 5 DC T-Line Build
matt402
did u adjust the gains and low-pass filter on your amp? what are your available demensions (max size of box in trunk)? i would suggest the one common chamber ported box.
