Gregggg
Do you think that a HO alt (180amp/120idle), a yellow top, and the big 3 done in 1/0g would be able to support a 1400w rms system? What do you guys think? brsteinbach
I think it would be plenty, It would keep a constant 14-15v right to that amp. 2 Infinity Reference 1252w 12s 4.2 cubic foot box tuned to 28hz Sub amp: 1 Profile AP1200 Speaker amp: 1 Sony Xplod XM-504z Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X492 4 and 8 Gauge Knu Big III In 1/0 All in my 90 Accord Diamonds are forever, but 9's end that shit fast.... Gregggg
Probably will upgrade to a better alt soon because the stock alt is only 80amp and its just enough to power 600w rms. I want to add another amp for my speakers but I can't with this alt. 2002 Toyota Solara SLE V6 Headunit - Pioneer DEH P3900MP Door Speakers - Polk Audio db6501 6-1/2" 2-way Component System Rear Speakers - Polk Audio db691 Speaker Amp - DD C4b Sub - 2 12" Alpine Type R's in a 2 @ 33hz Sub Amp - DD M2A Electrical - Big 3 - Stinger HPM 1/0 guage Wires, Optima Yellow Top Battery, 180/120 DC HO Alternator w/ MLA Confuscious say "he who say it can't be done shouldn't be bothering man busy doing it" Now feel free to go crawl back under that rock and leave this to the professionals.... refs: DC_Power_Kyle
Static
This question is pretty much on the same topic...will a Hitachi IR/IF 80 Amp, 12 Volt, CW alt work with a 2kw system? how much would I need? how many batts would I need? would having a 2 farad capacitor make it work?
