00ludeWI Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 I got a 5th gen Honda Prelude (those of you that arent familiar its smilar to a two door civic) well last summer i bought kenwood 6x9's and kenwood door speakers and a kenwood Stereo deck and the rear speakers only play when i press 2-zone for some reason (which is how i turn on subs) I believe it started doin this when i had a 2 channel soundstorm 1600 watt amp installed for my two 12" rockford fosgate P2's although i could be wrong. Is this my stereo, my amp or my wiring? I also feel the music is a little underpowered compared to the 12's do you guys think if i put a amp(s) to these kenwoods it would be a much better improvement? or should i go with a better setup? the 6x9s are: Kenwood - 6" x 9" 5-Way Handles up to 500 watts peak power (90 watts RMS) The door speakers are: Kenwood - 6-1/2" 3-Way 240W peak power (40W RMS); polypropylene mica woofer; 1/2" balanced dome tweeter. If there is a good way to power these what amp should i go with if not any suggestions? Thanks guys appreciate any help..

Anyone know best amp to power the speakers though? and i believe the p2s are 400 rms a piece the soundstorm amp box just says maximum power 1600 watts rms power 300w x2 at 0.01% THD, 4 ohms which doesnt hit lows that good but good enough for me for mids n highs untill i can afford/ figure out a upgrade systems i love the fi btl 12" i just wanna wait till i got the money to do it right the first time im pretty new to everything but ive been learning fast with this first system..
