TRELO LUDE
Well time for some some more updates We continued with the work on the dash. When we last left off we had cut out the dash stencils for the speakers. We decided to change them up a bit and trim a bit of the perimeter so as to accommodate the windshield and also to keep the dash as low as possible. You can see see the difference as well from the old one on the bottom and the newer one up top.
TRELO LUDE
From there we did some test fitting... had a friend over who lent a hand as well....
TRELO LUDE
We also came to the realization that we are limited in what we can do without the a windshield in place to make the appropriate measurements... Luckily we had a windshield on hand as well Funny story behind the windshield, is been sitting tucked away for about 10 YEARS Last time it saw the light of day was in 1999 when the vehicle was still daily driven and not in Extreme mode Who would of thought that 10 years later it would be called upon once again to be put to use. TRELO LUDE
Now with the windshield in place and giving us some room to see where we were at distance wise with the dash build we figured we need to get some additional clearance just in case so what we decided to do was to make some adjustments to the STEERING COLUMN ... We opted to drop the column by about 3/4" with some washers in order to gain the clearance.. here you'll see the modification And so the test fitting continued
